Add Pedigree

Det snabbaste sättet att lägga till en hel stamtavla med flera generationer är att använda formuläret "Add Pedigree" för att lägga till fyra generationer i taget. Nedan följer en beskrivning på svenska och sedan på engelska.

The fastest way to add a whole pedigree with many generations is to use the form called "Add pedigree" to add four generations at the time. Below is a description in swedish and after that an english translation:

1. I rutan "Rat 1" skriver du in en råtta (vi kan kalla henne Abby) och sedan hennes föräldrar (vi kan kalla dem Bill och Betty), far- och morföräldrar (Clive, Chloe, Cliff och Cendra) och sedan även deras föräldrar (Dexter, Diddy, Desmond, Disana, Dough, Daisy, Dante, Darlene) och sedan klickar du på send (skicka).

2. Öppna ett nytt "Add Pedigree"-formulär och i rutan "Rat 1" lägger du till den första grand grand parent (Dexter) och sen fyller du i Dexters föräldrar, mor- och farföräldrar och så vidare på samma sätt. Dexter från det första formuläret kommer gå samman med den Dexter som du lägger till i andra formuläret så länge du stavar Dexters namn exakt lika. Det betyder att du inte behöver lägga in inforation om Dexter (som variant och födelsedatum) två gånger. (Om det redan finns en Dexter i databasen kommer jag döpa om honom till Dexter 2).

3. Öppna ett nytt "Add Pedigree"-formulär och i rutan "Rat 1" lägger du till den andra grand grandparent (Diddy) och hennes föräldrar, farföräldrar och så vidare.

4. Om du vill lägga till syskon till någon av råttorna i Stamtavlan (t.ex. Abbys), måste du först vänta tills jag laddat upp stamtavlan i databasen så att du kan söka efter Abbys föräldrar i formuläret.

5. När du ser att stamtavlan blivit uppladdad så öppnar du ett "Add Litter" -formulär och fyller i information om kulltema, uppfödare, födelsedatum och så vidare. I rutorna för mor och far (sire and dam) söker du efter föräldrarna till kullen (Bill i "Sire" och Betty i "Dam").

6. I rutan "Littermate 1" skriver du in Abby (och du behöver inte lägga in all inforation om henne om du redan gjort det i ett tidigare formulär). I resten av "Littermate"-rutorna lägger du till hennes syskon och skickar på send (skicka)! 🙂

Det här är ett sätt att lägga in många råttor i en stamtavla samtidigt men man kan också lägga in en råtta i taget och sedan använda "Add Mother"- och "Add father"-formulär för att bygga stamtavlan bakåt men det tar längre tid.

ENGLISH:

1. In the "Rat 1" box you add a rat (we can call her Abby) and then her parents (we can call them Bill and Betty), grandparents (Clive, Chloe, Cliff and Cendra) and grand grand parents (Dexter, Diddy, Desmond, Disana, Dough, Daisy, Dante, Darlene) and then you click send.

2. Open a new "Add Pedigree" form and in the "Rat 1" box you add the first grand grandparent (Dexter) and then fill in Dexters parents, grandparents and grand grand parents in the same way. The Dexter from the first form will merge with the Dexter that you add in the next form as long as you spell Dexters name exactly the same. That means that you don't need to add information about Dexter (like variety and date of birth) two times. (If there already is a Dexter in the Database I will rename him to Dexter 2).

3. Open a new "Add Pedigree" form and in the "Rat 1" box you add the second grandparent (Diddy) and her parents, grandparents and so on...

4. If you want to add siblings to some of the rats in the pedigree (maybe Abbys), you first wait until I have uploaded all the rats into the database so that you can search for her parents in the litter form.

5. When you see that the pedigree is uploaded you open an "Add Litter" form and fill in information about litter theme, date of birth, breeder and so on. In the boxes for father and mother (sire and dam) you search for the parents of the litter (Bill in "Sire" and Betty in "Dam").

6. In the "Littermate 1" box you add Abby (and you don't need to add all information about her if you already did it once). In the rest of the "Littermate" boxes you add her siblings and then click send! 🙂
This is one way to connect different rats with eachother but you can also add one rat at the time and then use "Add Mother" form and "Add father" form but that process is much longer.
